Changes

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has made changes to the BICON commodity case Retorted goods. There have not been any changes to the import conditions.

The pathways for Retorted goods from Australia or New Zealand have been changed to clarify that the refer to meat only and will now read:

• Avian and/or pig (pork) meat
• Meat, other than Avian and/or pig (pork) meat

An information notice has been added to the avian and pig meat conditions advising importers of correct pathway to apply for a permit for retorted table eggs.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of importers of retorted goods from New Zealand, Biosecurity Imports Support Team, Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and Inspections.
