Dog semen

Effective from 1 March 2021

This notice provides clients of the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment notification of the inclusion of Estonia as an approved Group 3 country.

From 1 March 2021 consignments of frozen canine semen from Estonia will be eligible for import under the standard conditions, for which import permits are not required. Frozen canine semen must still comply with all other pre-export testing, examination and health certification conditions as detailed on BICON and in the relevant step by step guides available on the department website.
There should be no impact on your imports from other approved countries as the pre-export testing, examination and certification conditions remain unchanged.
