New approved ISTA laboratory for seed purity analysis
Effective from 17 September 2019The department has approved a new laboratory to perform seed purity analysis on seed being imported into Australia. The list of department approved seed testing laboratories has been updated to include the following laboratory:

What does this mean for my imports:
Seed species that require an import permit:
Existing import permits will not be varied to include the new laboratory, unless specifically requested by an import permit holder.
All new permits will be issued with the new laboratory included.
Seed species that do not require an import permit:
Certificates issued by the above laboratory will be accepted by the department immediately.
