Treatment: Timber refuse treatment

Effective 15 December 2018 to 8 August 2019

The following are approved treatments for timber refuse:

  1. methyl bromide fumigation at 48 g/m³ for 24 hours at 21°C and above at normal atmospheric pressure (NAP), or

  2. methyl bromide fumigation at 64 g/m³ for 4 hours at 21°C and above under vacuum (660 mm vacuum), or

  3. methyl bromide fumigation at 64 g/m³ for 5 hours at 10-20°C under vacuum (660 mm vacuum), or

  4. dry heat treatment at 74°C under the , or

  5. heat treatment at a minimum temperature of 56°C for 30 minutes measured at the core of the wood, or

  6. ethylene oxide fumigation:

    6.1. at 1200 g/m³ for 5 hours at 50°C under initial vacuum of 50 kilopascals, or

    6.2. at 1500 g/m³ for 24 hours at 21°C, or

  7. gamma irradiation at 20 kGray (1.0 Mrad), or

  8. export, or

  9. disposal.
