Answer

Sea freight - Less than container load (LCL) - Low value

Effective 28 February 2012

Answer Help:

Less than container load (LCL) is a shipment that is not large enough to fill a standard (20 or 40 foot) cargo shipping container and has a declared value of less than $1000. Since more than one LCL consignment will be consolidated into a single container for export, these containers are typically unpacked at Container Depots in the destination port and the individual shipments will be collected from the Depot by their consignees.
