Treatment: Cold treatment schedules for fresh grapes from the United States of America

Effective 20 April 2023

Cold treatment must be undertaken according to one of the following schedules:

  1. Cold treatment for at least six continuous days at a pulp temperature of -0.5°C (31.1°F) ± 0.5°C (0.9°F).
    Note: The cold treatment can only commence once the fruit pulp temperature reaches the set point for treatment as -0.5°C (31.1°F) or below;

    OR

  2. Cold treatment for at least 12 continuous days at a pulp temperature of 0.9°C (33.7°F) ± 0.5°C (0.9°F).

Note: The cold treatment can only commence once the fruit pulp temperature reaches the set point for treatment as 0.9°C (33.7°F) or below.
