Treatment: Methyl bromide fumigation and pre-shipment cold treatment schedules
Effective 10 August 2022Methyl bromide fumigation plus cold treatment for the management of oriental fruit fly (Bactrocera dorsalis) on table grapes from China.
Pre-shipment fumigation with methyl bromide followed by pre-shipment cold treatment under one of the following schedules:
- Methyl bromide fumigation at 32g/m³ for two hours at a pulp temperature of 21°C or greater at not more than 50% chamber load, followed by cold treatment at a pulp temperature of 2.77°C or lower for four days.
- Methyl bromide fumigation at 32g/m³ for 2.5 hours at a pulp temperature of 21°C or greater at not more than 50% chamber load, followed by cold treatment at a pulp temperature of 4.44°C or lower for four days.
- Methyl bromide fumigation at 32g/m³ for three hours at a pulp temperature of 21°C or greater at not more than 50% chamber load, followed by cold treatment at a pulp temperature of 8.33°C or lower for three days.
