Treatment: Acceptable treatment for frozen corn cobs with husk
Effective 13 October 2021The following information contains treatments assessed as acceptable for corn cobs with husk exported from all countries.
Full husk intact - Acceptable treatment: Blanching (or heat treatment) at 100°C for a minimum of two hours; and then freezing maintained at -18°C or below for a period of at least seven days.
Partial husk (with some corn kernels visible) - Acceptable treatment: Blanching (or heat treatment) at 100°C for a minimum of 15 minutes; and then freezing maintained at -18°C or below for a period of at least seven days.
