Treatment: Timber refuse treatment
Effective 8 October 2021The following are approved treatments for timber refuse:
- methyl bromide fumigation at 48g/m³ for 24 hours at 21°C and above at normal atmospheric pressure (NAP), or
- methyl bromide fumigation at 64g/m³ for 4 hours at 21°C and above under vacuum (660mm vacuum), or
- methyl bromide fumigation at 64g/m³ for 5 hours at 10-20°C under vacuum (660mm vacuum), or
- dry heat treatment at 74°C under the , or
- heat treatment at a minimum temperature of 56°C for 30 minutes measured at the core of the wood, or
- ethylene oxide fumigation:
6.1. at 1200g/m³ for 5 hours at 50°C under initial vacuum of 50 kilopascals, or
6.2. at 1500g/m³ for 24 hours at 21°C, or - gamma irradiation at 20kGy (1.0 Mrad), or
- export, or
- disposal.
