Risk background: Risks associated with stock feed of animal origin from New Zealand
Effective 1 October 2020 to 29 April 2021New Zealand has a similar animal health status to Australia, so the risk of introducing an exotic disease from stock feeds of animal origin from New Zealand is very low. Further to this, State and Territory legislation in Australia prevents the feeding of ruminant materials to ruminants giving extra assurance that the risk of exotic diseases entering the country are minimised.
