Effective 8 August 2020

Answer Help:

Retorted means that the goods have been sealed inside an airtight container, such as a can or a pouch, and have been heated above 100°C within that container so that the goods are commercially sterile and have achieved an F0 value of 2.8.The goods do not require refrigeration to maintain quality. The goods are imported in the un-opened container in which they were heat treated. Examples include tinned/canned salmon.
