Treatment: Acceptable treatment for frozen corn cobs with husk

Effective 1 October 2019 to 13 October 2021

The following information contains treatments assessed as acceptable for corn cobs with husk exported from all countries.

Full husk intact - Acceptable treatment: Blanching (or heat treatment) at 100°C for a minimum of 2 hours; and then freezing maintained at -18°C or below for a period of at least seven days.

Partial husk (with some corn kernels visible) - Acceptable treatment: Blanching (or heat treatment) at 100°C for a minimum of 15 minutes; and then freezing maintained at -18°C or below for a period of at least seven days.
