General Rationale

This case applies to personal consignments of dried plant parts (including seeds, fruits, herbs, bark and roots) and articles made from dried plant parts. It is not intended for commercial consignments or for other end uses such as food, animal feed, fertilisers or propagation.

All imported consignments should be identified by the botanical/common name of the plant material. Unidentified plant material poses an unacceptable biosecurity risk and will be subject to treatment, exportation or disposal.
