Timber and timber products

Effective from 14 August 2019

The list of accredited facilities has been updated on advice from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Please see the case for a list of facilities participating in the CGSWCP and the associated AEI codes.

The department has also refined the wording for the import conditions and documentary evidence requirements for the Canadian Green Sawn Wood Certification Program (CGSWCP). The refinements are not a change to the import conditions; rather the amendments clarify which species are included in the program and the evidence that needs to be presented.

Additionally all terminology has been updated to replace accredited mills with accredited facilities.

Who does this notice affect:

Importers and brokers of green sawn timber exported from Canada.
