Addition of synonyms to various BICON cases
Effective from 1 March 2025Eschscholzia californica ‘Aurantiaca’, Petunia x hybrida ‘Nana Compacta’, Petunia x atkinsiana and Lepidium coronopus have been added to various BICON cases as indicated by the table below. The department has assessed that these species are synonymous with species that fall under these BICON cases:

As a result, these species may be permitted entry into Australian territory subject to the import conditions under the relevant BICON cases.
Import permits:
Current import permits will not be updated to reflect this change, any permit holders intending to import these species will have to apply for a variation to include any additional species.

Importers for seeds and nursery stock, customs brokers and departmental staff.
