Changes to the 'Dairy' BICON case

Effective from 21 November 2024

The department has added a new import pathway for bovine dairy from Japan to the 'Dairy' BICON case.

  • New import conditions have been developed for bovine dairy manufactured in and exported from Japan.
  • Import conditions do not require Japan to be country approved by the Australian Director of Biosecurity as free from lumpy skin disease.
  • Import conditions can be found in the 'Dairy' BICON case by selecting 'Other dairy products (including infant formula) – Bovine – No – Manufactured in, and/or exported from Japan.'
