Changes

The Department has reviewed the import conditions for import of Orchidaceae tissue culture flasks/containers as accompanied baggage through an airport. As a result of the review, the department has made the following changes:

1. Amended the labelling requirements for containers/flasks to better support the plant identity assessment during inspection - including supporting documentation and identification options.
2. Published instructional material to provide additional guidance to importers on how to meet import requirements - includes examples of compliant and non-compliant imported plant material, tissue culture media and packaging.

Importers of Orchidaceae tissue cultures as accompanied baggage through an airport.
