Amendments to carton labelling requirements for fresh fruit from Thailand

Effective from 6 September 2024

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has reviewed the carton and package labelling requirements for the import of fresh longan, lychee, mangosteen, mango and pineapple from Thailand.

Following the review, the department has updated the carton and package labelling requirements for all these commodities for consistency.

A transition period will be in place until 4 October 2024 to allow exporters and suppliers time to ensure labelling requirements are implemented.
