Updated BICON case and importer declaration template for khapra beetle sea container measures

Effective from 15 July 2024

All conditions in the khapra beetle sea container measures BICON case have now been moved into the Non-Commodity Cargo Clearance case. Please note there has been no changes to the measures themselves.

The importer declaration template used to verify the unpack location of containers has also been updated as follows:

  • Heading amended.
  • Entry number field included.
  • Additional statement “The goods will not be repacked into this/these container(s) for final delivery to a khapra risk post code” included.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers, freight forwards, biosecurity industry participants and accredited persons operating under the department’s approved arrangement class 19, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspections.
