Consolidated import conditions for Pine nuts for human consumption

Effective from 14 August 2024

The department has revised and consolidated the import conditions for Pine nuts for human consumption into a single new BICON case.

The new BICON case Pine nuts for human consumption lists the conditions pathways for the importation of:

  • Shelled pine nuts
  • Processed pine nuts
  • Unshelled pine nuts
  • Vacuum sealed pine nuts

Prior to this change, the import conditions for pine nuts were found under 3 separate BICON cases:

The Shelled pine nuts case is now superseded and will be removed. References to pine nuts have been removed from the Vacuum sealed nuts and the Processed nuts for human consumption BICON cases.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers and customs brokers of Pine nuts for human consumption, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspections staff.
