Addition of phytosanitary certificate to list of document requirements for freezing statements

Effective from 12 July 2024

The department has determined that a phytosanitary certificate can be included as an additional acceptable documentation type for goods that require a freezing declaration. The phytosanitary certificate must contain the required freezing statements as outlined in the relevant import conditions.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of frozen plant products from all countries and their brokers, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and/or Inspections, departmental staff.
