Addition of phytosanitary certificate to list of document requirements for freezing statements
Effective from 12 July 2024The department has determined that a phytosanitary certificate can be included as an additional acceptable documentation type for goods that require a freezing declaration. The phytosanitary certificate must contain the required freezing statements as outlined in the relevant import conditions.
Who does this notice affect:
Importers of frozen plant products from all countries and their brokers, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and/or Inspections, departmental staff.

- Truffles for human consumption
- Mushrooms for propagation
- Frozen fruit, vegetables and herbs for human consumption
- Raw nuts for human consumption
- Processed banana for human consumption
- Processed grain and seed products for human consumption
- Chestnuts for human consumption
- Mushrooms for human consumption
