Removal of import permit requirment for Papaver somniferum seed for human consumption
Effective from 26 January 2024The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has removed the need for an import permit for the import of Papaver somniferum seed for human consumption.
Permit holders:
Permit holders with active permits will be contacted by department staff.
Who does this notice affect:
Importers of Papaver somniferum seed for human consumption, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspections.
