Restructure of import conditions for fresh decrowned pineapples

Effective from 18 April 2024

Import conditions for fresh decrowned pineapples from Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Taiwan have been restructured to align with current conventions.

A common table outlining the biosecurity pests of concern and the required offshore management measures has been included. Carton labelling requirements have been specified for traceability.

There have been no changes to import requirements outlined in the respective 'Import Risk Analysis’.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of fresh decrowned pineapples for human consumption and their brokers, Biosecurity Imports Support Team (BIST) and Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and Inspections.
