Development of conditions for bovine dairy products manufactured in and exported from Singapore

Effective from 24 May 2024

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (department) has developed import permit conditions for dairy manufactured in and exported from Singapore. The commodity case 'Dairy' has been updated to reflect the newly developed Singapore dairy conditions.

The developed conditions include that the heat treated bovine dairy must originate from animals resident in countries approved by the Australian Director of Biosecurity and listed on the FMD-free country list and LSD-free country list, and be manufactured in and exported from Singapore.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of dairy from Singapore, Biosecurity Imports Support Team, Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and Inspections.

Background:
These conditions have been developed to facilitate trade between Singapore and Australia. This process has included a market access request, and assessment of verification and control measures supporting the manufacture and export of dairy products from Singapore.
