In-transit cold treatment of fresh produce

Effective from 20 April 2023

The secure seals intact inspection has been removed on pathways subject to in-transit cold treatment, that have not presented data on arrival.
Commodities will remain on hold, intact, connected to power at a specified location, pending assessment of in transit data. Inspection cannot proceed until in-transit data has been received and assessed.
Tool tip information has been provided for assessors in BICON.

Who does this notice affect:
This notice affects importers and brokers of fresh produce for human consumption subject to in-transit cold treatment, Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspections and biosecurity staff.
