Changes

The department has reviewed the import conditions for fertilisers. The updates to the existing pathway will help to clarify import conditions as part of the department’s ongoing commitment to quality review.

Updates include:

1. An updated landing page where importers can choose which pathway best suits the products they wish to import based on what the materials within the final product are derived from.
2. For products containing any animal derived ingredients, an additional option for goods where the only animal materials contained in the product are highly processed and purified derivatives has been created.
3. Updated information points to clarify the pathways.

Please note that import conditions have not been altered in the re-structure of the BICON case.

Departmental staff and Australian importers (and their customs brokers) of fertiliser products.
