Changes

Quercus turbinella and Quercus welshii has been added to the ‘Nuts and woody tree seed for sowing’ BICON case, as the department has assessed that these species are a synonym of Quercus dumosa subsp. turbinella and Quercus havardii var. tuckeri, respectively, both of which are permitted.

As a result, Quercus turbinella and Quercus welshii may be permitted entry into Australian territory subject to the import conditions under the ‘Nuts and woody tree seed for sowing’ BICON case.

No other changes have been made to import conditions for ‘Nuts and woody tree seed for sowing’.
