Changes

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) has recently undertaken a review during which it was determined that two additional species of Drosophila pose an unacceptable biosecurity risk. These species, Drosophila pulchrella and Drosophila subpulchrella, are not permitted entry into Australian territory.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers and brokers of Drosophila spp. as well as department staff.
