Changes to the approved composite ingredients list in standard permits

Effective from 30 June 2023

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry has made a minor change to the approved ingredients list for composite goods.

  • “Rennet when used to make cheese” has been removed from all import conditions other than those for cheese.

The change only applies to permits issued from 30 June 2023 Current permits will not be affected.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of Collagen and casings, Dairy, Finfish (excluding Salmonid), Pig meat, Prawns, Salmonid fish and Unretorted meat. Biosecurity Imports Support Team, and Pathway Operations Cargo – Assessment and Inspection.
