Changes

The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (department) has made changes to the BICON permit application form for returning Australian animal-derived products:

• Update to the wording of some questions.
• Further clarification on the details needed for some questions.
• Update to the supporting documentation question to clearly identify the minimum documents required to commence the assessment.

These changes have been implemented to help importers provide all relevant information when the application form is submitted and ensure the assessment can commence.

Who does this alert affect:
Importers of returning Australian animal-derived products, BIST, and brokers.
