Update to Camellia spp. nursery stock import conditions

Effective from 8 July 2023

Import conditions for Camellia nursery stock imported in a form other than tissue culture have been updated.

Ciborinia camelliae, a fungal pathogen causing Camellia petal blight is no longer considered a quarantine pest as it is now recognised as being present in Australia. As a result, risk management measures for this pest are no longer technically justified, including the requirement for flowers, flower buds and petals to be removed from imported Camellia plants during the mandatory period of growth in post-entry quarantine.
