Change to on-arrival clearance procedure for grafted cacti imported from The Republic of Korea

Effective from 25 May 2023

The department has reviewed the on-arrival clearance procedure for imported grafted cacti exported from The Republic of Korea produced under an approved system. To manage the biosecurity risk, importers are being notified that if disease symptoms or contamination is identified during the on-arrival inspection, consignments will be held pending identification and further advice.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of grafted cacti from The Republic of Korea produced under an approved system, brokers and Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and Inspections.

Import permits:
Import permit holders will be contacted directly about the impacts on their permits.
