New approved ISTA lab for seed purity analysis: Phitsanulok Seed Testing Laboratory
Effective from 10 February 2023The department has approved a second laboratory in Thailand, Phitsanulok Seed Testing Laboratory, to perform seed purity analysis on seed being imported into Australia.
The department’s webpage for department approved seed purity testing laboratories has been updated to list the laboratories details, as per the table below:

Effective immediately, purity analysis certificates issued by Phitsanulok Seed Testing Laboratory will be accepted by the department for imported consignments of seed.
Who does this notice affect:
Importers of seed for an end use of sowing and human consumption, their brokers, biosecurity staff and Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and Inspections.
