Changes to import requirements for blueberries and cranberries (Vaccinium spp.) from New Zealand

Effective from 1 March 2023

Imports of blueberries and cranberries (Vaccinium spp.) into Western Australia and Tasmania from New Zealand will no longer be regulated at the Australian border for blueberry rust (Thekopsora minima).

Please note: Imports of blueberries and cranberries (Vaccinium spp.) into South Australia from New Zealand must be free from blueberry rust (Thekopsora minima) and additional declarations must be included on phytosanitary certificates.

This notice affects importers of fresh blueberries and cranberries from New Zealand, brokers and Assessment Services Group.
