Low-value SAC onshore outcomes replaced with equivalent high-value outcomes

Effective from 20 October 2022

Following the completion of the IDAV reports concerning Mushrooms for human consumption, it has been suggested that Self-Assessed Clearance (SAC) onshore outcomes do not provide sufficient detail in dealing with low-value imports of dried, processed, or frozen mushrooms for human consumption.

Equivalent high-value outcomes are recommended to be replaced for the low-value SAC outcomes with the exception that some documentary requirements will not be necessary (such as the need for providing a phytosanitary certificate).

Who does this notice affect?
Importers, freight forwarders, biosecurity officers and brokers that deal with Mushrooms for human consumption.
