Changes to the BICON case and import conditions for confectionery products

Effective from 15 June 2022

The department has made changes to the BICON case and import conditions for confectionery products imported for human consumption.

These products are often comprised of a range of ingredients and the case has been updated to better assist brokers and importers in determining the most applicable BICON case/s for each individual ingredient. In addition, the requirement for confectionery products to be commercially prepared and packaged has been removed.

Assessment Services Group and importers of confectionery products for human consumption.
