Revised case structure for Empty seashells

Effective from 26 April 2022

As a result of amendments to the Biosecurity (Conditionally Non prohibited Goods) Determination 2021 import conditions in the BICON commodity case Empty seashells have been changed.

Alternative conditions for Oyster shells, that are not part of a manufactured product, have been developed. An import permit will no longer be required.

Although an import permit is no longer required, import conditions will continue to apply. Please see the relevant BICON case for specific import conditions.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of oyster shells that are not part of a manufactured article, Pathway Operations Cargo - Assessment and/or Inspections, Client Contact Group.
