Updates to species listings in the ‘Vaccinium spp. seed for sowing’ case

Effective from 31 March 2022

The species listings in the ‘Vaccinium spp. Seed for sowing’ case has been updated to remove the scientific name ‘Vaccinium delaveyi’, as this species has been identified through a departmental assessment as an illegitimate name.

No other changes have been made to the import conditions for Vaccinium spp. seed for sowing.

Background:
These changes have been reflected in the published Permitted Seeds List (updated on 31 March 2022), which contains conditionally non-prohibited goods which are subject to specific conditions of import, as outlined in the Biosecurity (Conditionally Non-Prohibited Goods) Determination 2021.
