Plant species requiring further assessment

Effective from 5 February 2020

Sechium edule has been moved from the ‘Xylella fastidiosa hosts for use as nursery stock’ case, into the ‘Plant species requiring further assessment’ case.

This change is in place to ensure that imports of Sechium edule nursery stock are subject to a review of import conditions against associated biosecurity risks. A review of import conditions may be conducted by the department upon request, subject to resource availability.
