Changes

The previous ‘Table: Highly processed bamboo articles’ has been renamed to ‘Table: Bamboo Products’ to reflect that not all processed bamboo products are sufficiently processed to be listed or have been/can be assessed by the department.

The department has removed all references to ‘highly processed’ and has replaced all instances of ‘bamboo article’ with ‘bamboo product’. This is an administrative change and importers currently meeting the conditions will not be affected.

The following items have been added to the table:

• candle lids
  

• rat/mouse traps.
  

The following categories have been amended:

• toys, board games and teaching aids (excluding bamboo play equipment, cubby houses and swing set frames, animal/pet toys/games/aids)
  

• homewares such as vases, photo frames, items with bamboo handles, chopping boards, kitchen utensils, steamers, sushi mats, decorative table mats, bowls, cups, plates.
  

Who does this notice affect:

Assessment Services Group and importers/brokers of bamboo products.
