Highly refined organic chemicals and substances

Effective from 29 April 2019

The department has finalised a review of highly refined organic chemicals and substances. As a result of the review some changes have been made. These changes include:

  1. Aligning the import conditions with legislation

  2. Simplifying the BICON pathway

  3. Including a list of goods that can be imported under this commodity case. Goods not on the list will not be able to be imported under this commodity case

  4. Require evidence that the goods meet the import conditions

Importers of highly refined organic chemicals and substances, Assessment Services Group, Inspection Services Group.
