Effective from 15 July 2020Hypochaeris radicata has been added to the ‘Plant species requiring further assessment’ BICON case.
Background:
This change is being made following a departmental assessment, which determined that this species is a host of Pine pitch canker, a pathogen of biosecurity concern for Australia, and therefore not permitted in Australian territory.
Who does this notice affect:
Importers of seed and nursery stock, customs brokers and departmental staff.
