Highly refined organic chemicals and substances

Effective from 31 October 2020

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (the department) has updated conditions in the BICON case 'Highly refined organic chemicals and substances'.

An information notice has been added to the case to advise importers that fatty acids (e.g. docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid (ARA)) are considered organic acids and may be imported under the import conditions in this commodity case.

Who does this notice affect:

Importers of highly refined organic chemical and substances, Assessment Services Group and Inspection Services Group.
