Bryonia collosa is recognised as a synonym of Cucumis melo, which currently requires mandatory testing for Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (GCMMV), Melon necrotic spot virus (MNSV) and fungicide treatment for Diaporthe cucurbitae.

As a result, this species has moved from the BICON case ‘Unrestricted cucurbitaceous seed for sowing’ to the BICON case ‘Cucumis melo seed for sowing’.

Importers and brokers of seed for sowing and departmental staff.
