Medium risk plants for use as nursery stock

Effective from 15 November 2019

The purpose of this notification is to advise the following species have undergone a Weed Risk Assessment and have been added to the BICON case ‘Medium risk plants for use as nursery stock’:

  • Anthurium plowmanii

  • Conophytum antonii

  • Conophytum armianum

  • Conophytum arthurolfago

  • Conophytum bachelorum

  • Conophytum bruynsii

And the following species have been removed from the BICON case ‘Medium risk plants for use as nursery stock’ as it has been identified as being under official control:

  • Peganum harmala

Who does this notice affect:

Importers of nursery stock, Assessment Services Group and Inspections Group.

Import Permits:

Importers may request a variation of their import permit, through BICON to have these additional species added to existing permits (fee for service).
