Changes

Microalgae questionnaires are no longer required to be provided with permit applications for goods which are:

1. fully finished and retail packaged in no greater than 10 kg units, and
   

2. containing less than 5% microalgae.
   

To support these permit applications, importers will now only be required to provide the following information in the form of a Manufacturer's declaration:

1. The name (genus and species) of the microalgae.
   

2. An ingredients list including percentages of all ingredients adding up to 100%.
   

Who does this notice affect:

Importers of microalgae for human consumption and human therapeutics.
