Who does this notice affect:

This notice is of use to Assessment Services Group, Inspection Services Group and importers of dried medicinal mushroom for treatment on arrival.

Background:

Plant Import Operations has reviewed importing conditions for Dried Medicinal Mushroom for human consumption (restricted species for on arrival treatment only) to enable consistency with the Biosecurity (Prohibited and Conditionally Non-prohibited Goods) Determination 2016.

Import conditions will now require that commercial documentation be assessed on arrival. The documentation must state:

1. The botanical name of the mushroom species.
   

2. The packaging of the product.
   

Only the following pathway has been updated:

Dried mushrooms — Restricted medicinal species — Restricted medicinal mushrooms - Not highly processed — On-arrival treatment
