Changes

The department has revised the inspection requirements for new, rural bound consignments of prefabricated office, accommodation units and caravans.

Consignments of new, rural bound prefabricated office, accommodation units and caravans, are subject to a rural tailgate inspection, in lieu of a full unpack inspection. These changes have been in place since 29 September 2021 as per Industry Advice Notice 212-2021: BICON Case update - Prefabricated office, accommodation units and caravans

Who does this notice affect:
Importers and customs brokers who import prefabricated office, accommodation units and caravans and Pathway Operations Cargo – Inspections and Assessments.
