Changes

The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has updated the list of approved countries for imports of ornamental fish.

The approved country list is referenced on active permits and in BICON pathways.

If you are an affected permit holder, the department will contact you to notify you that your permit is affected by this change and explain what this means.

Background:
The department has recently published an Industry Advice Notice regarding the removal of multiple countries from the approved country list. The industry advice notice (IAN) can be viewed on the departments webpage . The changes will take effect on Monday 13 September.

Who does this notice affect:
Importers of ornamental fish (freshwater and marine) and department staff.
